Oh, the making of the buffalo table, whose name came shortly after I decided to pivot the front legs like this. I loved this entire process! This table top was in danger of becoming a cutting board! I was milling some wood at the Guild of Oregon Woodworkers when someone said, “You are not going to make a cutting board out of that beautiful walnut, are you?”. I thrive in collaborative spaces, having feedback, opinions, ideas.. and after a few months this table was born! From the front angle there seems to be a stance it is taking and the “skirt” seems quite fur like with its earthy brown live edge. This table sold for September 2019 and is now in a private collection.
